Are you looking for something to do in the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg area in Tennessee? We regularly visit this area and found a new place to visit! Travelers, meet Skyland Ranch.
Skyland Ranch is located on the main drag in Sevierville, Tennessee across from the Tanger outlets. It’s main attractions are a chair lift, an overlook, and a mountain coaster, but it has so much more. There are animal encounters, a bakery, food trucks, entertainment, shopping, and a “safari” hayride.
Admission can be just for the ranch or it can also include the mountain coaster. You could also purchase the mountain coaster if you didn’t want to ride the chair lift. At the time of publication, the price of admission with the coaster is 33.98 for adults and 22.98 for a child. In order to ride the mountain coaster, a child has to be 3 years old and 38″ to ride with an adult and 54″ to ride alone. The coaster is 1.25 miles long and takes over 8 minutes.
Children of any age can ride the chair lift and it takes you to the top of the hill to experience the shops and food offerings. There is also a playground up there!
The play areas at the top of the hill are fun for the kids and there are photo ops with some horse statues and a chance to lasso a few pretend animals. The Ranch’s mini animals are also at the top of the hill after the chair lift and its super fun for the kids to check out the animals up there. There is an overlook to check out the views without having to ride the mountain coaster.
Our big girl got to ride the mountain coaster with dad and they had the best time. They ended up having a pretty slow ride because the person in front of them on the coaster was riding the brakes the whole way down. It was still a fun ride but they were a teensy bit disappointed. But much to their delight, the workers at the bottom saw their slow ride and offered for them to ride again! So they got to have a faster repeat ride at no cost to us! That was some great customer service!
