Porch at Schooner’s Seafood Grill
Since there are 21 restaurants at this resort, there were really too many for us to try during our stay. I don’t think we had too many super memorable meals, but all of them for the were consistently good. We tend to not love all-inclusive because for us the food is usually “meh”. However, the food at Beaches T&C was on par with food we have had on cruises, and was much better then the other two all inclusive resorts we have stayed.
Here is a selection of a few of the restaurants we visited:
- Reflections Restaurant/Buffet
- Arizona’s Southwestern Cuisine (twice for lunch)
- Kimono’s
- Schooner’s Seafood Grill (twice for dinner)
- Bobby Dee’s
- Dinos (once for lunch and one for a snack 😉
- Sky
- Jerk Shack
- Neptunes (several times for breakfast)
- Mr. Mac Food Truck
- The Super Bowl Party Buffet
- Barefoots
Reflections Restaurant/Buffet is the least memorable of the restaurants we ate during our trip. It is buffet style and just tried it one evening as we walked past it. The food was definitely edible, but nothing amazing. Unfortunately, we did not have a phone to take pictures when we ate there.
Arizona’s Southwestern Cuisine is a great spot for lunch! We liked it enough to eat lunch there twice. It is located in the Caribbean Village, right on the ocean. The restaurant is abutting the Caribbean pool. Dinner at this restaurant is a la carte. At lunch food is served buffet style both inside and outside. Inside you will find different, fruits, salads, etc… Outside you will find burgers, hot dogs, tacos, quesadillas, etc. It was our favorite lunch spot. Plus it was a great view while you were picking up food.

We typically like Japanese steak houses when we are on a cruise, we were hoping Kimono’s would be a similar experience. This is one of the only restaurants at Beaches that requests reservations. As typical with these type of restaurants, the three of us were seated with another family since the table holds more than 3. A server took our drink orders and then the “show” started. If you have ever been to Hibachi type restaurants, you pretty much know what to expect…but it’s still fun. At this experience, our chef wasn’t the most enthusiastic chef in the restaurant but we still had fun. A few of the other chef-performers around the restaurant seemed to be more into it than ours was. Although the food was good, we didn’t quite agree on how good it was. I really liked the dinner…especially the fish while Rebekah did not enjoy it quite as much. Every time we go to one of these type of restaurants we have a great time and the same could be said about this trip.

Schooner’s Seafood Grill was our first and our last dinner at the resort. We picked it the first night because it seemed to be very beachy/vacation-y and set the mood for a good week at the resort. Since we ate there a second time, hopefully you can guess we liked it! The menu is primarily seafood based along with steaks and kids meals. Dining is mainly done on the porch, it has a nice view of the ocean before sunset and a fabulous breeze even when the view goes away with the sunlight. There does appear to be a small dining area on the inside, however, we never saw anyone dining in there. The location on the resort is great, as this restaurant is located between the Italian Village and Caribbean village along the main beachfront walkway. Plus, as a side note, their Chicken Nuggets from the kids menu are great too!

Have you ever wanted to eat ice cream in a Pirate Ship/1950s diner? You can do this and more at Bobby Dee’s! It is conveniently located in the water park. If you think the previously mentioned combo of pirate ship + diner is kinda strange, you are not alone. It looks like a full size pirate ship on the outside, but happens to be 50’s themed on the inside. Just go with it! There is an ice cream shop in the front and a restaurant in the back that serves traditional diner food like burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, fries, and pizza. There also appears to be cotton candy and popcorn machines, but we didnt get to see them in action. While the food here was mostly average, it is convenient if you are needing a break from the water park!

If you are in the mood for pizza and pasta, Dino’s is the place you want to go. We ate lunch here one day and then because the pizza was excellent, we picked it up for a snack another day. The restaurant is located in an outside courtyard in the Italian Village. It was not a “quick bite” kind of a place per se, as the pizza was made to order and it took a little while to bring out.

There are too many restaurants to talk about in one post…so this is only the first part of our restaurant review. Please see tuned to read more about other dining options at Beaches Turks and Caicos!
